Another character concept from the sketchbook with colour added in photoshop :)

Ichibot 6.0h

September 7, 2010

A combined vinyl toy, media player and retro game concept. Designed in-house long ago and animated in 2009, never completely finished… but due to be revisited soon.

The latest Pseudonym collaboration took place in Bristol, at Upfest last weekend. We had a great time over there, and met a bunch of great people in the process. Some pics from the weekend below:

Alien Invasion

June 9, 2010

Krunch has been collaborating recently with friends at Sifer Design under the name of Pseudonym. The results of one such collaboration can currently be seen at the Civic Offices in Guildhall Square. These designs were created as vector illustrations before being printed as huge vinyl posters. More of these collaborations to come :)

Doodle

March 9, 2010

Here’s a recent sketchbook doodle, with a bit of colour added in pshop. Kind of a revamp of an old character.

At the end of last year we designed and created an 18 minute dome animation for the Isle of Wight Council, to explain the virtues and methods of recycling on the island. The project was recently launched and is already looking to be a great success.

We had a great time working on it and happily handled the full production including concept work, storyboarding, character design, environment design, sound design, modelling, animation and production. We were lucky to work with some great people at The Common Heard who provided superb vocal talent for the characters, including Tony Aitken of Blackadder fame.

Here’s a quick 26 second blast of it:

Following the Frosty idents, we were lucky enough to be able to continue our festive work by getting stuck into another christmas animation for Sky Sports – this time for Soccer AM.

We were provided with the live action footage of the footballers, and after we’d done a bit of keying, rotoing and compositing, the snowmen were ready to play ball.

All the idents can currently be seen in action in the video section on the Sky Sports website.

We’ve had our noses to the grindstone lately working on an epic 15minute animation, and will post more on this later…

In the meantime, we got our christmas bells jingling creating a little snowman ident for Sky Sports.

We were asked to develop a freeze-up and frosty logo effect to go with the animation, and set to work experimenting on blocks of ice.

With a cool ice effect in the bag, we put the animation together and posted it to Santa.
